Vessels are very
expensive to build or
purchase. It is
therefore important to
safeguard such huge
investment by insuring
the vessel.

of a project
e.g. A cement or sugar
factory

REQUIREMENTS
There must be an
erection project in
place.

WHY TAKE THE POLICY
Since machinery and
equipment needed to be
erected into factories
etc. are very expensive,
the contractor need to
protect himself against
any legal liability that
may arise out of fault
in the erection process.

BASIC POLICY CONDITION
Does not cover loss or
damage due to faulty
design or defective
workmanship other than
faults in erection. It
extends to testing
period after completion
of the erection.
